Discussion:

Good attention to detail sets apart exceptional designers from average ones, and it’s a skill that can be developed and improved.
Designers who are skilled in paying attention to detail can produce high-quality work that meets the needs of their clients and exceeds their expectations.

Here are a few techniques that can help you improve your attention to detail as a designer.

I’m sharing this from my experience, I worked with one of my Mentor whenever we submitted a project for review within a few minutes he gave us very authentic and many feedback, when I asked him how he gave too much feedback within a few minutes ( No matter if it is big projects or small project) He just replied us it comes from experience, project recruitments, projects goal, and the users, and also said

"Remember On average, users spend less than 15 seconds on a website before deciding whether to stay or bounce''

He always told us to focus on a few more things

Beauty is in the Details, Small but Significant Details, Less is more, Consistency, Contrast

After the Long day, I started to research that and I talked with some more mentors/senior designers, even the ui/ux manager, I’m trying to write exactly these things,
The majority of them discuss those things and add more about them,

When you’re going to focus on small details make sure all of the first you categorize the details from the project priority, such as colors, typography, shape, patterns, spacing, composition, and other design elements, which can greatly impact the overall aesthetic and effectiveness of their work,

Focus from Here: I’m giving the information directly,

  1. Make sure you’re not far from the rules of using accurate color Harmoney, I mean not mismatch the color and have to focus on using color for header and body text with different color ratios, and avoid using too many colors for a project.
  2. Don’t use too many fonts for a single project moreover, you have to confirm that are you using serif, sans serif, script, monospaced, and display altogether before you use them to make sure you’re not mixing them,
  3. Using different shapes and patterns is one of the hardest parts of the design, make sure you’re using the pattern and shape it should match the project, I mean thinks you’re doing a real estate project and you’re using tech-relevant patterns or shapes, it will be wired for your projects and that’s easily findable the error of the design,
  4. Now let’s talk about spacing, most of the projects as I saw most of the time, They are not concerned enough about spacing matter, they do not use any spacing anywhere, they do not maintain the spacing between the section to sections, spacing between the header to subheader or body text, they are not maintaining the spacing button to text etc, make sure what the design spacing is that match with the previous experience, you have no free hand to use any spacing anywhere, so should be learn about using spacing well, moreover make sure you’re using same padding,
  5. Let’s know more about the grid, A Grid is one of the best things that will make you different from others, so when the designer selects any creative grid make sure that’s reaches the standard,
  6. More things to know are like using stoke or fill color, using the radius that should match with your design other elements( button to button, rectangular to rectangular, etc)
  7. using images and illustrations is one of the mistakes as senior counted, some of the projects they are using both for a project, so it should be avoided, if you’re using images confirm you using everywhere images, if you’re using illustrations make sure you are using illustrations everywhere,
  8. Always focus your text alignment, don’t use random alignment,
  9. Make sure you’re not using dramatic shadow or using the same hierarchy for your project, which makes the design a bad impression,

Please remember to 👏 if you found this helpful, it helps others find it.
