Doctor’s Appointment Solution
How does a user take appointments easily?
Why Doctor’s appointment? The importance of the Medical industry grew exponentially in Bangladesh since the pandemic broke out in the year 2022. The scarcity of medical resources and staff created havoc among the panic-stricken citizens. This case study hence tries to bridge the gap between medical professionals and patients with the use of technology. It is a solution to fulfill user needs by providing separate personalized interfaces for Patients and Doctors
UX and Product Behavioral Design are key in Healthcare! Products with the objective of modifying behaviors and habits of users or medical staff need to deal with inertia and cognitive biases. Therefore it is of critical importance to take into account:
User motivations and abilities when using your processes: On the other hand, getting doctors to prescribe one type of drug over another, or to comply with the hospital procedures to the letter, is a problem with how processes are designed. In a world with simple procedures, mistakes are minimized. In this case, the creation of an app able to turn the inherent complexity of the healthcare system into simple procedures is the main challenge,
Intrinsic complexities of the expected behavior: An App to keep a patient in a medical schedule is a good example of a product that needs to deal with the nature of the expected behavior. The habit that the product is expected to create is full of resistance and prone to failure. Anticipating possible pitfalls is key to success,
Problem: There are two segments of users: Doctors and Patients. Doctors are not able to extend their help beyond a particular region due to geographical restrictions. Patients, especially in rural areas are not able to receive quality healthcare and face undersupply of medicines. On the basis of this initial problem statement, I began to dig deep into the topic by starting with User research.
Solution: It supports the high level of readability and quick perception of text-based content, which is crucial for healthcare operations with patient data, especially in cases of emergency;
it provides a great field for creating prominent contrast for key interaction elements, such as buttons or icons,
it creates a strong association with paper on which the data is fixed and in this way sets the pleasant feel of interaction close to typical operations with physical paper documentation, which can be beneficial for people of the older generation, who usually tend to feel better in a well-known environment,
It adds space and air to the screen which is helpful to avoid the feeling of the screen being overloaded with information and can hinder quick perception of core data fields.
Final design: This very easy way to get connected with this app
user has previous good experience to use onboarding, here also easy way, and have an auto-detected location, gender, and age are getting before getting an account, anyone can skip this section, Here are two awesome screens where users can see the doctor reviews and after get services, he/she can rate the doctor and possible to give comment also, user can see the reviews and can take the decision for future.
Prominent screen for patients: Patients can book or reschedule appointments, check for specialists, order medications, and schedule health check-ups at the closest diagnostic facility online. They can set an appointment for in-person or online visits to the clinic. Patients have a choice of physicians in their favorite locations.
Why would someone wish to meet with other local doctors for this purpose, for example, if they suffer from an allergy to their own doctor there in the area or if they can’t get their ailment cured by this doctor?
